What we do
All successful leaders have developed great finance skills – alongside their bookkeeper, finance manager and their tax accountant, have kept everything ticking over smoothly for a number of years.
Successful firms will start to face more complex financial and strategic challenges. It can often feel over-whelming for the CEO / Founder, juggling too many balls and taking focus off the core business.
Plug-in Finance fills this gap. We work with CEOs / Founders to manage the strategic and financial challenges that they start to face, and provide the insight needed to move the business forward. It could be for a one-off piece of work, or 2-4 days ongoing CFO support per month.

What is the difference between a fractional CFO and the accountant that prepares my year-end accounts?
-
Why would a company hire a fractional CFO?All successful founders have developed great finance skills, and in conjunction with their bookkeeper or finance manager, and also their tax accountant, have kept everything ticking over smoothly, often for a number of years. However, ambitious firms who have growth as their No.1 goal, will start to face more complex financial, regulatory and strategic challenges, and the founder will may start to feel over-whelmed, juggling too many balls and taking their eye off the core business. At this point, firms typically need the support of a CFO or FD. However, the big problem usually faced by the business is that it is not yet able to afford the £120k+ or does not need full-time support. Fractional CFOs fills this gap and we work with CEOs / MDs to manage the strategic and financial challenges that they start to face, and provide the insight needed to help move the business forward. It could be for a one-off piece of work, or 2-4 days per month.
-
Are there any set-up costs?Yes, there’s an initial fee to cover the Financial Health Check and follow-up report. This is typically around £3-5k depending on the size of your company. Depending on proposed recommendations from this review, there may be additional transformational work required. This however would be discussed with you before proceeding.
-
What is your cancellation policy? If you’re on a monthly plan, you can cancel with 30 days’ notice.
